Kelowna, BC’s Branchroot Ensemble is a trio of experimental musicians who explore free improvisation and other atypical methods of music-making. The trio has been lauded for its eclectic approach to free improvisation, fusing elements of contemporary classical, free jazz, avant-rock, and folk into their performances, until each genre has become wholly unrecognizable.
